JOEL'S TESTIMONIAL
Academic & Personal development
Joel joined 11+ classes strong in maths but struggling with English. His school teachers soon noted significant improvement. To refine his creative writing before the grammar exams, Mrs Bryson arranged focused peer sessions for comparison and feedback.
The school's solid faith, hope, love and resilience ethos, was instrumental to Joel’s development. When he became anxious the night before his first exam, Mrs Bryson encouraged him and shared affirmations, restoring his confidence. Joel subsequently passed both exams, meeting the criteria for all three chosen schools. He accepted an offer from Wilson’s School, Sutton in March 2021.

CARA'S TESTIMONIAL
Gaining Confidence
Cara has gained huge confidence over the last two years in her English skills. In GCSE, her levels have increased from a predicated Grade 3 to 5, over the last year and is much more confident. Thank you for giving Cara the skills and confidence that she needs to be successful in her English studies.

Testimonial: Doutimi Aseh, Mother of Amare and Taye Gonzales
"Their teachers have been amazed by how much they know"
After initial lockdown enthusiasm faded, Hillel Bright Futures Trust’s online tutoring saved the day. Our sons, aged nine and five, attended for five months. Since returning to school, teachers have been amazed by their knowledge. My youngest is now a confident reader who can simplify fractions and identify prefixes and suffixes. Both boys made friends and flourished under nurturing teachers who ensure every child reaches their full potential.

A MESSAGE FROM A PARENT
Georgia Wilson: Mother to Lawrence and Christabel
Mrs Bryson’s, Virtual School was the perfect solution to the school disruptions and childcare crises caused by COVID-19. As a Head of Finance, working from home, I saw my children adapt excellently to online learning with minimal parental input.
When their prep school permanently closed, we committed to Mrs Bryson’s new Hillel Park School. The results were outstanding: my son Lawrence passed his 11+ grammar exams, and my daughter Christabel thrived, especially enjoying lessons on Black History. We are deeply grateful for Mrs Bryson’s passion, professionalism, and wholehearted support for our family.

HEAR FROM PEOPLE WE HAVE WORKED WITH - PAST AND PRESENT

Abi's Mother
“After 12 months of Abi being tutored by BF4ALL, she hugely developed in all areas of her English, as well as maths. This was in spite of her missing a year’s schooling. We are delighted that Abi secured a place at Wallington County Grammar Girls school”.
West Thornton Primary School, Croydon

Adam's Mother
Cranmer Primary School,
Mitcham
“Since Adam started your school, I have seen a significant improvement in his English. He is more confident, especially with his writing. He use to have to think for a long time, now he’s quicker. His ability to comprehend what he is reading has also improved.”

Emmanuelle's Mother
“When I approached BF4ALL, my year 10 son Emmanuelle, was predicted a ‘D’ grade in his English GCSE. After 12 months of 1-to-1 tuition, my son sat his GCSE and was 3 marks away from an ‘A’ grade. He is now more confident and completing the A’ levels of his choice at his 1st choice sixth form”.

Case Study: Miss D
Miss D, a single parent caring for a neurodivergent son and an elderly mother, struggled to balance a full-time job with childcare during school holidays. The HAF program offered free, safe, and enriching childcare, providing crucial peace of mind and financial stability. Her non-verbal son thrived in the supportive environment, forming connections and even starting to speak. The program was an indispensable support network, allowing her to commit to her job while knowing her son was safe and engaged with peers and professionals who cared for him. She stresses the program's vital role in her family's well-being.

Case Study: S
S and their partner, parents of a 6-year-old son with severe autism and high support needs, found mainstream summer camps unable to cater to their child's requirements. The BF4A summer program within the HAF initiative provided a crucial, predictable, and supportive routine. This environment helped their son build confidence and regulate his emotions, allowing the parents to continue working and connect with a vital support network of other parents facing similar challenges. The program prevents financial hardship and ensures their son avoids missing key development opportunities, providing invaluable peace of mind for the whole family.

Case Study: Amara
Amara, now 17, joined Bright Futures 4 All at 13 while disengaged and struggling with undiagnosed ADHD and Autism. With youth worker support, she progressed from a reluctant participant to an inspiring youth leader. The inclusive Summer programme allowed her to build confidence, resilience, and skills like CV writing and time management. Now motivated for the world of work, Amara inspires to pursue psychology and advocate for young people with SEND.

Reflection and Call to Action
“Formal education is important, but more focus is needed on life skills. School doesn’t teach us how to cope, manage challenges, help us understand ourselves, Too often, we are expected to learn these for ourselves when they are core skills that we all need… It’s so important that community programmes are available, it’s how I’ve built career and life skills and had access to a mentor to shape my future – that encouragement to take control today, keep improving tomorrow is what I now pass down to others”
